Swiss plug
Swiss plugs of type 12, according to the standard SN 441011 (until 2019 SEV 1011), have three round contact pins in which the middle (earth contact) is slightly offset. This ensures reverse polarity protection. The Swiss type 12 plugs are designed for a voltage of 220-250 volts and a load of up to 10 amps. Internationally, the Swiss plug is referred to as type J. A 2-pole variant is also possible. This type of plug is then referred to as type 11. If higher protection than IP20 is required, Swiss IP55 plugs are used (according to the new series of standards SN 441011). Protection is guaranteed when the IP55 plug is plugged into a corresponding IP55 socket. Areas of application include agricultural operations, horticulture, construction, power distribution and outdoor devices.
