C13 connector /C14 appliance inlet
C13 connectors (standard IEC 60320-1/C13, DIN VDE 0625, Part 1) are designed for 220 to 250 volts (rated voltage 230 volts) and are mainly used where no significant heat is generated. Typical applications for C13 connectors are audio and video, stage technology, peripheral devices, computers, etc. It should be noted that the maximum temperature at the connecting pins must not exceed 70°C. The maximum current carrying capacity is 10 amps. Typically, the C13 connector is equipped with a Schuko plug or any other country type on the second side. The assembled power cable is referred to as an cold device cable. The matching counterpart is the appliance inlet C14 in accordance with standard IEC 60320 - C14.
