As of 01 January 2026, the previous standard DIN VDE 0620-2-1 (VDE 0620-2-1):2016-01 will be replaced by the current standard DIN VDE 0620-2-1 (VDE 0620-2-1): 2021-02 with amendment A1:2023-09.
The most important changes concern the significantly stricter requirements for the crimp connection of the Schuko plug and increased requirements regarding mechanical and thermal stress.
Our type B1. Schuko plug and the associated cables have already been successfully tested by DEKRA in accordance with the new standard. In addition, the international standard IEC 60884-1:2022 and the Dutch standards NEN 1020:2019, NEN-IEC 60884-1:2019, NEN-IEC 60884-1:2019/A1:2019, and NEN-IEC 60884-1:2019/A2:2019 were also part of the testing.
This means our plug meets the highest standards of quality and safety. The KEMA-KEUR mark on our B1. Schuko plug documents the successful completion of the test according to DIN VDE 0620-2-1 (VDE 0620-2-1):2021-02.
